Dr. Anthony Yu – Dermatology
After finishing a combined Masters and Dermatology residency at Auburn University in Alabama, I started the first private dermatology referral practice in Portland, Oregon. Within my 11 years in Oregon, I dealt with chronic skin and allergic conditions in dogs, cats and horses.
Scott Cieslar – HEVS’s Equine Nutrition Consultant
Scott has 10+ years as a professional nutritionist, having earned a Master’s of Science in Physiology and Nutrition, he is currently completing his PhD at The University of Guelph. Suffice it to say, he knows his stuff! Please contact Halton Equine should you wish to schedule a farm or in-clinic visit with Scott to tailor your current equine feed program to an optimal nutrition plan with results!
Dr. Laura Frost – Chiropractic
Dr. Laura Frost completed her certification in chiropractic in the United States in 1999. Assessments include motion palpation of the spine to identify subluxations along with the combined knowledge of veterinary medicine. This allows for a more complete analysis of the horse rather than solely using chiropractic.
Dr. Nick Whelan – Ophthalmologist
Dr Whelan was infected with “Heriotism” at a young age while growing up in New Zealand. After watching the television programme and reading all the books about James Heriot’s life as a veterinarian in the Yorkshire Dales, Dr Whelan decided he was going to be a veterinarian. After spending a year at an agricultural farm training institute and another year sheep and dairy farming, Dr Whelan returned to High School to finish his final year before applying for Veterinary College. Dr Whelan graduated from Massey University in New Zealand in 1988 after completing a 5 year veterinary degree programme.
