Advanced Imaging & Treatment options
Through additional studies and instruction from world renowned specialists, we have been offering ultrasound guided injections into cervical facets (neck vertebrae) and sacroiliac injections (SI).
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy
Our practice has been utilizing this therapy for more than 20 years. This treatment is considered the gold standard for various injuries. Our shockwave unit is quiet and allows us to adjust depth of treatment.
Regenerative Therapies & Ancillary Treatments
Injuries to tendons, ligaments and joints can be treated using a variety of options including stem cells, platelet rich plasma (PRP), Prolotherapy and Tildren. All injections of regenerative therapies are ultrasound guided into the soft tissue injury.
Cryotherapy
Liquid nitrogen can be utilized to treat several injuries such as “splints”, “curbs” and tendon/ligament injuries. It can also be used to store frozen semen and in treating tumors.
Endoscopic Examination
Endoscopy is the current diagnostic method of choice for evaluating the equine upper airway. Halton Equine Veterinary Services uses this technology to identify and diagnose any potential abnormalities for both curative and preventative purposes.
